Skinnythick VLOG EP7

It was bound to happen.

I’m not ready for this.

Over the last few weeks I have been moving…

Moving my life…

Moving my home…

Disconnecting from all that is familiar…

In this process of moving, I got “off track” with my goal of becoming skinnythick! I made choices that were convenient so that I could make the process of moving smoother for all involved. I thought that I was helping myself by making the move go fast. I fooled myself into thinking that I could get back on track right away…as soon as this darn move was over.

What I didn’t count on was the fact that moving a 10,000 square foot house along with a 4,000 square foot pool house was not going to happen in a week. It took six weeks and over that time, I continued on a bad path…always regretting bad choices, but making more of them than the good choices necessary to move toward better health.

A few days here and there resulted in good behaviors and I was proud that I regained some control. I focused on the positive…increased steps…moving up and down the stairs…bending and stretching to clean the space for the new owner…all of the positives that were going on.

But in the end, I had more of my old behavior than my new and I gained weight.

Now I’m moved into my new space and am slowly unpacking. I realized that NOW is the time to get back into the swing of things…to reconnect to my skinnythick lifestyle.

I did a little reading about how to “get back on track” for a healthy lifestyle…I intend to do the things that I need to do, including:

  1. Don’t Wait! I am starting back now. Not tomorrow, not on Sunday (or Monday) but TODAY. I won’t let time get away from me and allow bad influences to continue.

  2. Do Drink! I will consume lots of water. I need to flush out my system and I need to get rid of the toxins that I have in my system.

  3. Do Eat! I will go back to a healthy eating routine. I will not overcompensate or try to accelerate the weight loss process by eating less. I will eat healthy and filling meals that are on the skinnythick program!

  4. Don’t Beat Yourself up!. I will forgive myself for gaining the weight that I gained. I will thank myself for getting back on track sooner rather than later (or not at all). Now is the time to be KIND to myself.

  5. Do Reflect! I’m taking the time to understand the “WHY” of my weight loss gain and getting off of track. I can learn from my mistake and so can you!

Onward and upward! Let’s step forward together!

About My Journey to Better Health

Hey!  I’m Cynthia and thanks for joining me on my weight loss journey towards better health!  Like many others, I have been on this journey before, but each time I get better and go further.  When I slip and somehow end up back where I started, I feel a sense of regret.  It takes a lot to attempt weight loss and to regain the weight happens to 95% of us.  So I thought that this time, I’d make you my partners and my witnesses as we journey together towards better health – the skinnythick way!
